I have been coming here for years. They use top quality ingredients and prepare them well. I love their food. The prices reflect the quality ingredients they use, however, this last raise has pushed their prices over the top in my opinion. Instead of coming in once a week, I now come in once or twice a month. I just feel the VALUE of my dollar is no longer of value here.My complaints have to do with their service staff. The two long term waitress are very good and the food comes out on time and in order. The other wait staff turns over frequently and the staff I have experienced first hand are not trained well. Management take note: most of your bad reviews here are because of your untrained staff. HUGE MISTAKE.Today the soda machine was down so the staff made ice tea from scratch (it usually comes out of the tap and is horrible). Those of us who like unflavored iced tea prefer it brewed. Today's iced tea was delicious! Management: couldn't you offer both?My four stars are because the food is really good and because I know when the good staff is there and that's when I go.

STAY AWAY. STAY FAR AWAY.Went there with my family for dinner. Never got seated after waiting for about 15 minutes. A different party just went and sat down at the table that the hostess was going to seat me. hostess totally clueless and didn't know what to do. Just left us standing and waiting.Eddie -- the manager -- is a total jerk. Did not help at all and instead was very dismisive of us when we left after never being seated.Amazingly incompetent, rude, uncaring service.

Considering the options- this is our new favorite local Chinese- inspired place. Although the entrance is in the back (and no signs to direct you) it's worth a trip. It's pricey for Chinese food- but again, the food is pretty good. Their dumplings aren't authentic (too doughy) but I liked everything else.

UGH! Sooo irritated with my latest experience I made a yelp account just to write this review. They've always been one of the nicer Chinese restaurants in the area but they've taken a turn for the worse. The food is bland now, the prices are higher, and the service sucks - well at least the one waitress who looks like Gigi from He's Just Not That Into You.I went in with my family of 5 plus my sister that refused to order or eat (high school diet obsession?)for a total of 6 people. Our waitress was very disengaged from the moment she walked over and was incredibly slow with the service. Not only did they bring out the wrong dish for me, but the waitress told us, very rudely, when we asked where it was that "there was a long line of orders ahead of us" (after 15 minutes of waiting for my vegetarian chow mein already). Are you serious?? YOU mess up our order and we get sent to the back of the long ass line! Ridiculous. It FINALLY came out after everyone else had finished their plates. I had to eat a dinner of steamed rice and vegetables I picked out of other peoples dishes (aka 90% bean sprouts - that were incredibly bland and greasy). Then when it came out, the chow mein was totally different tasting than it has in the past. It was almost flavorless. And to top it off, they tacked on a 17% tip for our group of 6, even though my sister just sat there and didn't eat. Its like they know they will get tipped regardless because of the large party tip so they don't give a crap about giving you good service. I don't know what happened to this place but I am extremely disappointed because it used to be great.

China Bistro is another one of those long time restaurants in Hayward. This place has been here since for a long time. Like with any Chinese restaurants, you can find some common dishes that most westerns would get.I was here with a semi-large group to celebrate my friend's birthday, but did not have a good experienced since the waiter gave us a bad attitude. The food was good, but the service was horrible.

SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED!I've been coming here since Jan...about once a month because it was AMAZING (keyword: WAS). But these last two times I've gone in July something is different...the chow mein is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! It is bland and what ever sauce/spices/ingredients they've used in the past, they don't us now. Also, the garlic wings were bland!! No seasoning....absolutely dissatisfied! I guess that was the last time I'll be going there.Has anybody experienced the change as well? When I called to order yesterday ( the 2nd time I had it with the change) I asked them if there was a new owner because sometimes the food changes based on that and the lady said no..SO either:A. They have a new cook...B. They are trying to save money and skimp on the ingredients..Either way, I will not be back! SMH. So disappointed.

I'm a regular here. The wait staff are very friendly and food comes out promptly. Though they do get pretty busy during peak hours. My favorite is the eggplant chow mein and chicken and corn soup but just about everything I have tried so far has been good. They serve dim sum as well and have a nice bar too!

We had my sons Baptism party at this restaraunt last Sunday. Food was terrific as usual but what really stood out was the service. Eddy (owner) was on top of everything. Very accommodating. We had a party of fifty in their very nice/private banquet room. Food was served at each table at the same time. Guests didn't have to watch others eat while waiting for their dishes to come. Glasses were always kept full. And when late arrivals (non RSVP) came, Eddy prepared extra dishes at no extra cost. I was worried at first but all I had to do was look up and Eddy was there to assure me he'd take care of all of them. I tell ya you can find good Chinese food but most all places the service is mediocre at best. This place rates high above the rest. The bill came out to $947 including tax and gratituity. I bumped it to an even grand. Later on that night we opened our sons gifts. Our generous family and friends gave us $900 in cash and checks and enough clothes (extra big) to last him him the next two years. All in all, thank you Chefs Experience for helping us have the best Baptism celebration possible!
